Information on the comprehensive exams to be taken during the programme
For students commencing their studies in 2026, passing two comprehensive exams forms part of the programme. The first covers standard economic and management knowledge required of all students, whilst the second relates to basic technical knowledge and the subjects of the chosen specialisation. The results of both examinations contribute to the diploma grade.
1. Comprehensive Exam in Economic Decision Support and Management
The Economic Decision Support and Management examination, which is standard across all specialisations, takes place at the end of the 6th semester. The examination is based on the syllabus of the following subjects:
Fundamentals of Accounting

The examination consists of a written and an oral component. Topics and sample questions to aid preparation will be published on the website at a later date.
2. Comprehensive exam related to the specialisations
The second examination is scheduled for the 7th semester in the curriculum. Its title and subject matter depend on the chosen specialisation.

How will the final exam change?
The curricula previously did not include comprehensive exams. The assessment of knowledge of economics and management, as well as of the specialisation-related knowledge, was carried out as an oral exam as part of the final exam.
For students starting from the autumn semester of 2026, assessment of this knowledge will take place with two comprehensive exams. The final examination will therefore consist solely of the defence of the diploma work: the presentation of the dissertation and the related professional discussion.
