Regulation for thesis formatting.
The thesis should be uniform in appearance. In order to achieve this, the following formatting requirements must be meet:

Deviations from the above sheet size requirements are possible with the agreement of the subject leader (for design tasks).
The content and aesthetic value of the essay is enhanced by the use of clear tables, figures, graphs, diagrams and photographs. All tables, graphs and figures should be titled and numbered, and their source should be given (see examples below).
- Figures should be placed proportionally in the middle of the page. They should be numbered, titled and referenced at the bottom. Photographs or scanned extracts from a brochure may be used as illustrations, but the captions on the illustrations must be in English.
- Tables should be numbered, centre aligned at the top, titled and cited.
- Figures and tables should be referenced in the text and the relevant source(s) should also be indicated in the bibliography.
- The size of tables, figures and illustrations should not exceed half the size of an A/4 page.
- Full-page or multi-page illustrations and tables should be included in the appendix.
- Formulae should be placed 3 cm from the margin and numbered (if more than one) between round brackets at the end of the line. The elements of the formula should be explained by symbols.
The SI (Systéme International d'Unités) notation should be used for the units of physical quantity.
