The aim of the lab:
To develop Lean-based process improvement methods that can be applied not only in the classic automotive industry, but also in the food processing, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. They reduce live labour requirements, result in high added value, focusing on zero or low-cost process development.
To implement service development, we use automated sample factories and lean labs, which are composed of self-learning collaborative systems and freely configurable production cell systems.
Focus areas:
Simulation of different supply chain types -material and information flow analysis and optimization. Digital process design, development of process simulation and decision support models, push and pull manufacturing and multi-periodic production scheduling, human-machine interaction.
Tools are used for education, research, project generation. Currently available for students of Technical Manager Bsc 3-4th year, Msc 1-2th year (here also in English programme), Lean, Quality in the postgraduate course of the Technical Management Department, the R&D&I activity can be extended according to other departmental and/or industrial needs.
